" A house is much more than a mere shelter - it should lift us emotionally and spiritually" - John Saldino
Our work in the historic dairy building, distinguished by its rare roof detailing and specialist tiles—a testament to the craftsmanship of its original construction. We are seeking to carefully restore these features, ensuring they remain a focal point while adapting the space for modern, sustainable use. Forming a place for retreat, celebrating the story the space has to present.
Working with natural materials internally allowing the walls to breathe whilst also providing texture. Crafted joinery providing much needed storage and the structure for adding in a mezzanine level to support a reading nook overlooking the woodland.
With a strong narrative of the history of the activity of the estate and many local tales relating back to the buildings origins and development throughout the decades. Timber roof detailing and delicate stonework is to be repaired and replaced where needed to bring the building back to its former glory. To start its next chapter on the estate.
