Eco-luxury Hotel & Spa - The Plover - Seafront Development

As hotel designers, we have created an eco-luxury hotel nestled into a protected terrain of cliffs and beaches. Conceived as a series of layered landscaped terraces which create a hanging garden to connect the Hotel to the clifftop and the beach, whilst forming part of a wider seafront masterplan. New public spaces and places to pause are formed where spontaneous activities can be hosted - adding to the beach’s vitality.

The Studio has designed every aspect of the Hotel to nourish the body and enhance well-being. During the day guests can enjoy beach vibes in the garden terrace café and then ascend to the panoramic restaurant or rooftop bar in the evening to enjoy a sundowner.

Eco-luxury Hotel & Spa - The Plover - Seafront Development

The hotel’s boutique Ayurvedic spa offers a place for year-round relaxation. Nestled into the cliff, looking out towards the sea, the sound of crashing waves below soothes the soul and mind. The spa offers of 15m saline pool, hydrotherapy, steam, sauna, treatments and wellbeing classes.

Eco-luxury Hotel & Spa - The Plover - Hotel Designer

The Plover offers an ambience of considered Hygge and a home-from-home which envelopes guests like a warm embrace. As hotel designers, we have employed our extensive skillset to ensure that hotel rooms are welcoming, calm and spacious. Every hotel room faces south towards the view, with pergola’s planted with scented jasmine to ensure the right amount of sun enters.

As hotel designers and sustainability experts, our environmental aim is to encourage both wellbeing and synergy with nature at The Plover in an extension to the Hotel’s sustainable ethos. Our team at PAD studio has designed the hotel to be highly insulated and air-tight to ensure minimal energy loss. Heating and hot water are generated from renewable sources and a grey water recycling system dramatically reduces the Hotel’s water needs.

Our design for this eco-luxury hotel demonstrates our commitment to creating a luxury experience that is in complete harmony with the environment. The Plover is committed to significantly reduce its carbon impact, setting new sustainability standards for the hospitality industry and ensuring a circular economy that nurtures its guests and supports local business and craft.
